RCMP.

Tuesday, November 29th, 2011

The BC RCMP have not been without their share of controversy over the past little while. Recent sexual harassment allegations by a well-known RCMP spokeswoman, the botched Robert Pickton Investigation, the shooting of Ian Bush, the Robert Dziekanski tasering death, and today’s article explaining the force is becoming excessively bureaucratized: http://tgam.ca/DHjK

With negotiations underway for a new 20-year deal for British Columbians, it’s no wonder B.C. is looking for more accountability… Photos below from a recent assignment for The Globe and Mail.

It must be time for a local civic election… I’ve photographed a bunch of the mayoral candidates over the past week or so….
Today I photographed mayoral hopeful Suzanne Anton in front of the Occupy Vancouver tent city.

Canopy executive director Nicole Rycroft holds a copy of Margaret Atwood’s new book, In Other Worlds: SF and the Human Imagination. The limited-edition book is printed on material made entirely of wheat straw, flax straw and recycled content. As the brainchild of Vancouver-based environmental group Canopy, the limited edition is designed to showcase the viability of wheat and flax straw as alternative sources of fibre for fine paper. THE PSYCHOPATH TEST.

Tuesday, June 7th, 2011

I was hired to shoot psychologist Robert Hare for the NPR show All Things Considered a few weeks ago. The story finally has aired, it was a really interesting story to be a part of.

Robert Hare, the psychologist who created the PCL-R test for psychopaths, at first resisted giving the checklist to people in the criminal justice system. But he ultimately agreed to publish the test officially so anyone could use it.
