Even though apparently Summer is halfway over, and riding season hasn’t really shown itself yet, we bombed the Sea-To-Sky under the cloud cover Sunday. Greasy spoon lunch, and beers on the Squampton Spit.

We went on a trip up the Sunshine Coast & to Texada Island for Lucas’s 28th birthday this weekend. Three ferries each way, lakes to swim in, seafood to eat, and tons of open road for the Bonnie and CB to rip on. Yup.

Such an amazingly nice day in Vancouver today, and I’m stuck inside editing photos. I could totally go for a hike up the Chief, maybe even all the way up to third peak… But I guess these photos from a few weeks ago will have to do.

A huge post from a huge weekend. On Wednesday we headed over to Saltspring on the Gulf Islands milk-run boat, and spent Thursday and Friday adventuring around Saltspring on our bikes. Friday we heading over to Victoria to meet up with friends (Big ups for the burgers and beer Ben! Thanks for the crash pad Spence.) Saturday Lucas took the early boat over from Tsawwassen to come hit up some backcountry roads in Metchosin, Sooke and the Highlands with us. Amazing weather, amazing friends, and some amazing motorcycle riding… I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I photographed the Brewmaster’s Dinner this Wednesday at the Granville Island Brewery’s taproom. The dinner, a gourmet four-course meal made by Savoury Chef‘s Taryn Wa, was paired with GIB’s local flavours, brewed by GIB brewmaster Vern Lambourne. I got to have a taste and have to say the dinner was amazing! I did a shoot with Granville Island Brewing Brewmaster, Vern Lambourne and Savoury Chef Foods Owner, Chef Taryn Wa last week to promote their upcoming event at the GIB taproom this Wednesday for Vancouver Craft Beer Week. I got to sample everything while at the shoot, and man, this dinner is going to be goooooood….

The house got a little more cozy after my run state-side last night. Picked up a 68 Triumph yesterday. Springer forks, matching rigid frame, and boxes of parts. So here it sits, in the man cave. So much work to do.
