THE BOOKSTORE BAR. SEATTLE.
Tristan, Victoria and I were walking down 1st Avenue in downtown Seattle after we had fled the country on New Year’s Eve in search of adventure and spotted this place packed to the gills with people who looked to be having a great time. So, after picking up Tara from Sea-Tac from an incredibly tiring 2.5 hour drive to Seattle, I had to stop in for a pint to check it out. If you are ever in Seattle, stop in for a drink, the bar staff is great, there are books everywhere, one of those old ladder bookcases, great Scotch and Bourbon varieties, and it is kind of fun browsing through all of the random books. (The waitress named Stop the Insanity by Susan Powder and a random set of 70’s encyclopedias with faded photos as her favourite browing material.) I am definately lifting a few ideas for the future when I make my own bar. (A guy can dream, right?)
Librewery! I’m really going to library school to be a librewerian. Tristan was telling me about this place and I’m totally going to check it out when I’m in Seattle next week.
